RF absorber is a key material in designing an Anechoic chamber. To achieve very negligible or minimal effect of reflected electromagnetic energy, absorber treatment is done very precisely in anechoic chambers. RF absorber is made up of lossy material to have electromagnetic waves to penetrate it, where the RF energy transforms to thermal energy and dissipates in surrounding air.

DMC offers wide range of high performance PU Absorbers made up of carbon impregnated low density Polyurethane foam in various sizes and colors. Our unique method of manufacturing absorbers provide excellent performance in normal incidence and off angle incidence in anechoic chamber. These flexible absorbers supports wide frequency bands of operation of up to 100 GHz and available in different color options.

PYRAMID ABSORBER (DMC-PU-PY-MI/EM-xx)

DMC offers high quality Polyurethane Pyramid absorbers for EMI/EMC and Microwave application for frequency range up to 110 GHz. This covers wide range of requirements in EMI/EMC testing chambers, Near field/ far field/ compact range chambers for Antennas and RCS measurement and various other applications. With multiple color options, sizes and amazing performance gives engineers and chamber designers to come up with desired solution meeting challenging shielding needs.

Typical reflectivity of DMC PU microwave absorbers are around -35 dB at 1 GHz to -50 dB at 40 GHz and around -45 dB at 100 GHz. The PU Hybrid absorber range is optimized for excellent impedance matching with ferrite tiles to perform between 30 MHz to 40 GHz frequency range.

Application
It’s capability of supporting wide frequency range of operation makes it ideal for small test enclosures, 3 meter, 5 meter, 10 meter and reduced space chambers.

Our absorbers are used in Commercial, Automotive, Military and other industries for Antenna testing, RADAR testing, Radome testing, EMI/EMC, mmWave application, etc.
