    Com-Power Transient Limiters

Protect your spectrum analyzer input during conducted emissions testing with a Com-Power transient limiter. The following products can be used during EMC conducted emissions testing to protect the input of a spectrum analyzer. Combined in both the LIT-153A and LIT-930A Transient Limiters are a low-pass filter, high pass filter, transient suppressors and two separate 5 dB impedance matching attenuation pads; one at the input and one at the output.

Protect your Spectrum Analyzer input during conducted emissions testing Transient limiter LIT-153A and LIT-930A protects a spectrum analyzer input from high-level transients from the line impedance stabilization networks during EMC conducted emissions testing. It has a combined frequency range of 9 kHz to 30 MHz. The built in high pass filter helps reduce 50/60 Hz line feed through. (see application notes).

LIT-153A Transient Limiter 150 kHz to 30 MHz

    Com-Power LIT-153A Transient Limiter 150 kHz to 30 MHz

Transient Limiter helps limit the transients when conducted EMI emissions measured using Line Impedance Stablization Network (LISN). The EMC receiver input is connected live and neutral line of the product via the LISN. The LISN blocks the supply voltage from LISN RF portt but allow the RF signal to pass without much attenuation, so that it can be measured with a EMC receiver. Because the RF signal must be passed through, any short transients (a few microseconds or less) on the power supply lines will also be passed through. Trasient limiter LIT-153A protects the EMI receiver input from these short transients A transient with high enough energy witll damage a unprotected receiver input.
