    Com-Power LISN

The LISN circuit is designed and constructed to meet the performance criteria given by these standards. A LISN, or as it is also known, Artificial Mains Network (AMN), as a function of its design, performs the following functions:
    · Provides a defined, stable, impedance to the Equipment Under Test (EUT) Isolates the EUT from the power distribution network (or power source); thereby minimizing potential affects of external influences on the measurements, and facilitating accurate and repeatable results.
    · Provides a near 1:1 (<0.5 dB insertion loss) 50O coaxial measurement port (type-N) for connection to a spectrum analyzer or EMI receiver.
Use of a Transient Limiter for impedance matching, reduction of out-of-band emissions and transient protection for your measurement instrument is highly recommended and available from Com-Power. Com-Power carries a variety of Three-Phase LISNs for CISPR 16-1-2/ANSI C63.4 of current ratings from 16 to 100 Amps. The line under test can be selected using a manual/mechanical switch or a fiber optic controlled remote interface. All Com-Power LISNs are individually calibrated in compliance with the relevant standards. Impedance, Phase, Isolation, and Insertion Loss data is supplied with each unit, along with the calibration certificate.

The LI-550C includes one pair of, separately housed, single-conductor networks, to be installed in series with each current-carrying conductor in a single- phase, dual-phase or DC power system. A second LI-550C pair can be used to accommodate 3-phase power systems (Wye or Delta configurations). The LI-550C is equipped with Superior Electric SUPERCON® shrouded sockets at the mains (power input) and EUT (power output) ports. The matching color-coded plugs for connection to the mains and EUT wiring are included. This LISN uses air-core inductors to prevent saturation and permeability variation. The mounting plate of the LI-550C is left unpainted in order to facilitate connection to earth ground in its installation, which is essential due to high leakage current.

    LI-3P-1X

3 Phase LISN for CISPR / ANSI The LI-3P-1x series consists of four separate models of four-conductor, 50? / 50 ?H Line Impedance Stabilization Networks (LISNs). The primary differences between the four models are their respective current ratings: LI-3P-116 16 Amps (per line, continuous) LI-3P-132 32 Amps (per line, continuous) LI-3P-163 63 Amps (per line, continuous) LI-3P-1100 100 Amps (per line, continuous) The side panels for each LISN are louvered for cooling purposes. The LI-3P-163 and LI-3P-1100 also include two internal cooling fans operated by a switch on the rear panel. Three phase LISNs can be operated remotely or locally. Remote switching of the line under test (L1, L2, L3, N) is performed using the RLI-100 Remote LISN Interface, which controls the LISN via fiber optic connection. In addition to the remote method, the line under test can also be selected using the mechanical, four-position switch located on the front panel of the LISNs. Using either switching method, the lines which are not selected are internally terminated into 50 ohms, while the selected line is terminated by the 50 ohm input impedance of the measuring instrument.

    LI-3P-2X

The LI-3P-2x Series consists of four separate models of four-conductor, 50Ω, 50/250 μH +5Ω Line Impedance Stabilization Networks (LISNs); also known as Artificial Mains V-Networks (V-AMNs). The primary differences between the four models are their respective current ratings: LI-3P-216 16 Amps (per line, continuous) LI-3P-232 32 Amps (per line, continuous) LI-3P-263 63 Amps (per line, continuous) LI-3P-2100 100 Amps (per line, continuous)
These LISNs provide the necessary measurement platform for performing power line conducted emissions compliance testing per most worlwide commercial EMI/EMC requirements, such as FCC (U.S.), CE (Europe), AS/NZC (Australia/New Zealand), VCCI (Japan), Industry Canada, etc.
The LISNs perform the following functions: • provide a defned, stable power line impedance across its frequency range for the Equipment Under Test (EUT); • isolate the EUT and measurement circuit from the power source, thereby minimizing its influece on the measurements; and, • couple the disturbance voltages to the coaxial measurement port, which connects to the measuring instrument.
The LISNs use air-core inductors to prevent saturation and permeability variation. The mounting plates are left unpainted in order to facilitate connection to earth ground in their installation, which is essential due to high leakage currents. The side panels for each LISN are louvered for cooling purposes. The LI-3P-263 and LI-3P-2100 also include two internal cooling fans operated by a switch on the rear panel.
