The ESD simulator SESD 30000 is suitable for EMC testing of systems and equipment in accordance with standard IEC / EN 61000-4-2, ISO 10605 (Automotive), MIL-STD and others.
The modular structure of the simulator allows further testing according to different standards and customer definitions.
Performance features
• Modular design
The discharge impedances are not permanently integrated in one module. They are available from 100 pF to 1000 pF and 0 ohms to 5000 ohms – separately. This allows a wide range of impedances. New impedance-requirements can quickly and inexpensively through further purchase of a module (C and / or R) can be realized.
• Automatic charge absorber
The integreated function ensures that accidental electro-static charges can be automatically aspirated. The discharging to ground is always during the pulse pauses over a discharge resistor of approximately 1 MOhm. During testing AIR after discharging touches the test tip the surface of the EUT. The contact point is now connected to ground via about 1 MOhm.
• Self Test / Function Test
This function checks in real-time (app. 30 seconds) the operate status of the simulator. In 14 test steps the power supply characteristics, high voltage parameters, the capacitance value and the HV discharge – in both polarities. This review is far more than a plausibility test. But does not replace any external calibration.
