MagTest System LFPA 9733 Power Amplifier
Schwarzbeck MagTest System
System to test the immunity against magnetic fields according with MIL-461 E, ISO 11452-8, EN 61000-4-8, SAE J551-17 etc.
The system components will be individually configured for your requirements.
The Mag Test is a System to generate magnetic fields and to perform tests regarding the susceptibility against magnetic fields in accordance with MIL-STD-461E (RS101), MIL461F, ISO 11452-8, EN 55103-1/2, EN 61000-4-8, SAE J1113-22 and other military or civil standards.
Most automotive manufacturers have derived their own standards, among them: Peugeot Citroen B217110, Renault 36-00-808, Ford ES-XW7T-1A278-AC and many others.
A further application is the calibration of magnetic loop antennas or sensors and the usage for scientific purposes.

NFPA 9730 Power Amplifier – REPLACED BY THE LFPA 9733
The NFPA 9730 is a multi-purpose power amplifier and can be used within the frequency range from DC to 250 kHz.
Typical applications are magnetic immunity testing according to automotive standards or MIL-461F.
· Frequency range (nominal): DC – 250 kHz
· Gain at 8 ohm impedance: 26 dB ±3 dB
NFCN 9731 Compensation Network – REPLACED BY THE NFCN 9734
The primary function of the compensation network NFCN 9731 is to provide a serial compensation of the inductance of the HHS 5206-16. Thus the currents needed to produce the desired field strength can be archived using relatively low voltages.
The compensation capacitor of the NFCN 9731 reduces the overall impedance of the series circuit with the Helmholtz coil HHS 5206-16 at the wanted operating frequency and allows currents up to 30 Arms at a generator voltage of less than 40 Vrms.
· Max continuous current: up to 32 Arms
· Capacitance range: 1.5 nF – 300 µF
· Frequency range: DC – 150 kHz
· Integrated shunt: 1 Ohm / 800 W
The primary function of the compensation network NFCN 9734 is to provide a serial compensation of the inductance of Helmholtz coils (e.g. the HHS 5206-16). Thus the currents needed to pro-duce the desired field strength can be achieved using relatively low voltages.
An integrated shunt allows measuring the coil-current and serves as minimum load for the power amplifier.
Technical data if used with HHS 5206-16:
Max continuous current:
Up to 32 Arms
447 mm x 470 mm x 191 mm
270 pF – 480 µF
DC – 200 kHz
1 W / 800 W
The compensation network NFCN 9732 85 kHz consists of a high current/ high voltage variable capacitor. The compensation capacitor reduces the total impedance of the series circuitry consisting of the Helmholtz coil HHS 5206-8 and the NFCN 9732 85 kHz at the operating frequency band of 80-90 kHz. It allows continuous currents of up to 15 Arms at generator voltages of less than 40 Vrms. Application: Immunity test induktive changing 85 kHz
The hall probe HS 5136 can be used to measure magnetic field strengths for immunity tests according to MIL STD 461 and various automotive standards. It measures static and dynamic magnetic fields with a field strength up to 8000 A/m. The HS 5136 is a transverse probe, i.e. the magnetic flux lines must be orthogonal to the longitudinal probe axis and orthogonal to the surface of the hall-element to obtain the maximum reading.
